Starlight will be closed from Tuesday August 3rd through Tuesday August 10th for parking lot renovations. There will be no skating sessions during this time. We will re-open for normal hours on Wednesday August 11th from 5:30-8:30pm.
Due to overwhelming demand, Starlight will be adding 2 extra sessions during the summer months. Beat the heat outside every Wednesday and Friday from 1-4pm. Cost is $5, which includes skate rental. Summer hours start this Wednesday 6/16/2010.
There will be no open skating session on Saturday June 19th due to an all day roller derby tournament.
Bouts begin at 1pm. Teams competing will include NWA’s Backwoods Betties, Fort Smith’s River Valley Rollergirls, Little Rock’s Central Arkansas Roller Derby, Colombia, Missouri’s COMO Derby Dames, Tulsa Derby League, Oklahoma City Roller Derby, Joplin’s MO-KAN Rollergirlz, and Topeka, Kansas’ Capital City Crushers.

The Backwoods Betties take on the Mo-Kan Roller Girlz from Baxter Springs, MO. This will be the second time these two teams face each other and the tension is high.
