The Mechanics of Style

6 – 7:30 PM
We will focus on the skating mechanics and elements of style/rhythm skating. These elements will include things like edging, weight transfer, body positioning, and timing. These fundamentals will improve balance on turns and spinning capabilities. Learn group moves, such as “The Downtown”, G-slide, and slow walk.
All skill levels welcome! Class size is limited, so register early! You can register for the instructional workshop only, or add-on a discounted admission to Adult Skate Night on October 14th. (Perfect to practice those new skills!)
Dance Skate Workshops
BEGINNER
OCT 27
8 – 10 PM
The beginners workshop is ideal for those who can already skate forward and want to get into dancing. I will cover the fundamentals of Center Work & Trail Work. We will work on beginner dance skate technique and drills. Then, put them all together at the end for our very own Beginner Dance Skate Choreography
INTERMEDIATE
OCT 28
6 – 8 PM
The intermediate workshop is for those who’ve already been dancing on skates, but want to add more skills, tricks, and grooves to their freestyle! We’ll work on moves that are great for Center work and Trail skating. Then, towards the end we will put all those moves together for Intermediate Dance Skate Choreography!

Extra Summer Hours
June 6, 2021
We will be open during our normal skating sessions with the addition of 1-4pm sessions Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between June 7th and August 6th. Public parties and birthday celebrations are available for booking during these sessions.

Safety has always been a priority at Starlight Skatium, but we’ve adjusted to the new norms and are ready to roll. We are opening during our normal hours of operation beginning August 6th.
✔️With a reopening plan approved by the Arkansas Department of Health, we are confident that we can safely get rolling again. In addition to all the upgrades to the facility, there will also be some new policies you can expect from us:
• All staff are screened with temps taken before each shift and will follow a strict hand washing schedule.
• All Party Hostesses and Snack Bar Attendants were certified by ServSafe’s Food Handler Course.
• Mask enforcement, in accordance with Fayetteville and state mandates.
• Tables are spaced and some are unavailable for use.
• 24/7 Online booking for birthday party reservations & events.
• Limited availability for reserved parties during public sessions.
• Extra time slots available for private parties.
• SkateMates (“walkers”) will be unavailable during public sessions.
• Hand sanitizers stations provided, and we encourage you to wash your hands frequently.
• 6ft distancing for lines at the entrance window, skate counter, and snack bar.
• Additional cleaning of high-touch surfaces.
What we expect from you:
• Please do not come if you are not feeling well.
• Yes, masks are required. Please refer to Fayetteville Ordinance 6323 and Arkansas’ Mask Mandate for further questions.
• Wear tall socks when using our rental skates.
• Use the sanitizing stations, and wash your hands often.
• Listen for announcements and pay attention to new signage.
• Food and drinks cannot be left unattended–please dispose of your own trash.
• Enjoy the freshly coated floor, new carpet, and all the exciting upgrades to the rink!
Rainbow Roller Disco
March 2, 2020Rolling out new events in 2020! Bring on the boogie with the first ever RAINBOW SKATE. Geared for the LGBTQ community of NWA. Open to all ages.
Admission is $7, which includes skate rental if needed.
Dress to Impress- it’s a Roller Disco. We hope to see a plethora of polyester!

Starlight New Years Celebration
December 8, 2019This year we are celebrating the beginning of 2020 in 2 sessions. The first session will be open from 1 to 4 pm for our younger kids and families. Tickets are available in advance for $10 or $12 at the door. Admission includes skate rental, party hat, noise maker, a slice of pizza and a small soda.

We will also have our annual lock-in to ring in the new year, starting at 7pm through 2am. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.

December Events
We have a busy schedule coming up this December! Don’t miss out on Skating with Santa, from 1-4 PM December 14th, admission is only $5, and as always skate rental is included.
We also have ugly sweater night for our adult session on Thursday December 19th from 8 to 11pm. DJ JC from the 313 will be here providing our playlist, admission is $7.
We will also have our extended Winter Break hours available, please see the calendar below to see if we have a public skate session that suits your schedule.
